Reiki, which means "Universal Energy" is a natural and safe healing practice that promotes overall health and balanced well-being. This spiritual practice, which originated in Japan, treats the whole person including body, mind and spirit. This is a traditional Usui Reiki I class with lineage through Mrs. Hawayo Takata (Western Style). First degree Reiki attunes you to healing on the physical body level. In this certification training, you will learn the basics of Reiki, participate in guided meditations, receive the four 1st degree attunements, as well as learn how to do Reiki treatments on yourself, others and animals. No previous experience is necessary for Reiki I. This training gives you an understanding of Reiki, its roots as a spiritual practice, and its benefits for you and those around you!

* A brief history of Reiki
* An explanation of the three levels of Reiki
* Vibration sensing exercises
* Reiki I Initiations
* Hands-on practice of the basic Reiki hand positions for self & others
* A Reiki I handbook
* A Reiki I Certificate of Completion and Lineage
After completing Reiki I, you will have all of the necessary tools to develop your personal Reiki practice, which is the foundation of this powerful practice.
Experiential in nature, this 2-day training also includes lecture and handouts, as well as large blocks of time for hands-on practice to integrate learning. Join Reiki Master Teacher Aurora Hutchinson for this gentle, loving practice that is yours for life!

Location: Rockville, MD (about 2miles from Shady Grove Metro). Address will be sent the day before the training. Please note: there is a friendly dog that lives in this home.
